ABOUT MERRIT ELIZABETH:

Merrit Elizabeth Stahle is a Certified Eating Disorder Recovery Coach specializing in the health and wellness of adolescent and young adult women. Throughout her teen years, Merrit struggled with her own eating disorder and treatment that left her feeling isolated and ashamed.

Eventually, with treatment and the daily support of my family, Merrit recovered fully. She graduated magna cum laude from Southern Methodist University with degrees in Journalism, French Studies, and Fashion Media before pursuing a career in the fashion industry in Los Angeles.

While volunteering as a peer mentor with young women struggling with eating disorders, Merrit realized her true purpose in life was to assist others in finding recovery. She returned to Dallas to earn her master’s degree in Health Promotion Management and a specialized certification in eating disorder recovery coaching through the Carolyn Costin Institute. As a certified eating disorder coach, Merrit supports clients and the client’s treatment team to assist clients in making the necessary day to day behavior changes necessary for recovery. In essence, coaches provide a crucial aspect of treatment by accompanying clients in everyday situations and providing exposure and response prevention.

Merrit’s favorite things in life include family, friends, food, and traveling. She also has two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels whom she adores.
